Subject: FW: [CVCA] Charles Village News & Events: March 7, 2007

CVCA GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING: Wednesday 3/28: NEW LOCATION!

We will hold our March 28, 2007 meeting in the cafeteria of Margaret Brent
Elementary School, located at 100 E. 26th Street. We will begin at 7:00
p.m. Food and beverages will be provided!

The Principal of Margaret Brent, Dr. Jacqueline Waters Scofield, will attend
the 3/28 meeting and share information regarding her vision of how the CVCA
and community at large can assist the school in its efforts to become one of
Baltimore's "jewel schools". This meeting site and outreach to Margaret
Brent responds to several suggestions that Charles Village residents (and of
course, the CVCA membership) partner with Margaret Brent.

Mayor Sheila Dixon has been invited to attend either the March 28th meeting
or the May 30th meeting. We hope to hear from her office this week as to
which meeting she will be able to attend. Margaret Brent would be a great
location for holding a meeting with the Mayor!

We hope to hold our next general membership meeting (in May) either at
Barclay School or, again, at Margaret Brent.

SIGN UP FOR CVCBD CRIME ALERTS LISTSERV! (Message from CVCBD)

Hello everyone,

As many of you know, our crime alert list here at the CVCBD was lost in
early January, we have been working to replace the system with a better one.
Unfortunately it is not ready by today as we had hoped, but we are working
on it and it will be coming soon. We have also received very few people
requesting to be on the list, and we have no record of who was on the
previous list. If you were on the list before or you would like to be
placed on the list now please email Katie Beltz at Katie at charlesvillage.org

Most of the time the Crime Alert emails will include Johns Hopkins crime
alerts and the Northern Police Department crime alerts.

Please forward this email to any contacts you have that may be interested.

Thank you,

CVCBD Staff
